BGS is seeking an Electrical Engineer Support Equipment Technician in Hazelwood, Missouri. The individual will work in a team environment to lead and develop test and repair capability for a wide variety of avionic systems. The assignment involves: (1) Lead assembly test stations for test of avionics; (2) Support installation of Automated Ultrasonic Scanning Systems; (3) Design analysis for producibility; (4) Checkout interface hardware; (5) Integration of hardware and software products; (6) Support problem resolution associated with fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

The selected candidate should possess a basic knowledge of electrical systems and fabrication techniques. Familiarity with standard electronic laboratory test equipment and troubleshooting practices is required.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level or Senior Electrical Engineer Support Equipment Technicians.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops, maintains and releases electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards for multiple customers
  • Manages, interprets and develops design requirements. Uses design tools to document and maintain configuration design control
  • Manages, creates, develops and maintains complex systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and integrating systems elements
  • Validates complex engineering system design and functionality
  • Leads the process for product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to complex
  • Coordinates activities and products with cross-functional groups, internal partners and external suppliers
  • Reviews and assigns work to others. Works under minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Associate's or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Computer field
  • Experience or working knowledge of electronic systems
  • Experience or working knowledge with electronics and/or mechanical systems in design fabrication and test

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 4+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical lab test equipment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range Mid-Level: $63,750 - $86,250

Summary pay range Senior: $75,650 - $102,350
