What are your contributions to the team?

Job Summary: The Director – Engine & CR&O Growth will be responsible for assessing ,enhancing, and growingthe capabilities of the CR&O business and Engine MRO within the Wichita shop and the broader BAS network. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for growth, recommending a strategic path forward , and overseeing the execution of these recommendations both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess CR&O business and Wichita shop capabilities and provide detailed recommendations for improvement.
  • Assess Engine MRO capabilities in Wichita and throughout the BAS network and provide detailed recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage the detailed analysis of ATA chapters and relevant internal data to identify CR&O opportunities for growth.
  • Explore CR&O opportunities, highlighted through analysis, and identify appropriate product line or shop acquisitions.
  • Explore Engine MRO opportunities and identify relevant authorizations, beyond line maintenance level, that could be added to our capabilities.
  • Assess CR&O and Engine MRO growth internationally.
  • Build a pipeline of growth opportunities, both organic and inorganic (i.e. acquisitions)
  • Oversee execution of recommendations both internally and externally.

How to thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, with a focus on Engine MRO and CR&O.
  • Proven track record of assessing and improving business capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to travel as required, both domestically and internationally 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience working within the Bombardier Aviation Services (BAS) network.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for Engine MRO.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strategic thinking and planning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and teams.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to take concepts and ideas and translate them into executable and measurable plans
