The role
Cabrini Health is seeking an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to join our Infection Prevention team. In this senior role, you will manage complex caseloads, provide clinical supervision, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive service improvement. You’ll contribute to strategic planning, professional development, and ensure high-quality infection prevention practices. This is a key role within the Infection Prevention and Control team, where you will lead initiatives to enhance patient care and shape the future of infection control at Cabrini Health.
Key Responsibilities:
Team lead and support to the Infection Prevention team (IPCT)
Provide expert IPC advice and manage infection control investigations
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs
Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and data analysis
Act as a role model in nursing excellence and promote a culture of innovation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for service improvement and patient care
Essential Requirements:
Registered Nurse with Infection Prevention and Control Graduate Diploma
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience and 4+ years in Infection Prevention
Expertise in infection prevention principles, clinical nursing, and outbreak management
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
