**The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC, Plumbing and Basic Electrical**
The Operating Engineer III is responsible for carrying out the direction of the department director to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for all patients, parents, visitors, and employees of the hospital. The Operator is responsible for the operation, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of all fixed and non-fixed non-patient equipment, medical gas systems, and HVAC systems in the hospital. The Operator is responsible for carrying out continuous quality improvement efforts. The Operator assists in developing new procedures, work practices, and data collection, to comply with all City, State, Federal, OSHA, NFPA, and JCAHO codes/requirements.
This is a 1st Shift (7-3:30, Saturday - Wednesday) role at our Overland Park, KS location. Excellent Shift Differential Pay for overnight and weekend!

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $23.85/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
