The role:

Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking Java Technical Lead, to join a team of IT professionals in a permanent role. If you meet our background requirements and skills and are seeking an opportunity with these skills and expertise, here is the ideal opportunity for you!

As a Java Technical Lead, you will be member of a team that handles the entire development process of the application, working across multiple functions. While each team member has their own set of abilities, they are also encouraged to learn and chip in to areas outside of their primary expertise.

The team is highly collaborative and values continuous improvement and open communication. We value your contributions as an individual, and we expect you to have good communication skills.

Location : New York, NY (Hybrid).

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • 10+ years Java development experience
  • Hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS
  • Optimally handle client engagement from Onshore.
  • Good validated understanding on SAML2.0, OAuth and API protection.
  • Knowledge on Authentication and Authentication Integration experience.
  • Should have a come across handling Performance tuning/Load testing findings.
  • Ability to work on Vulnerability/Penetration testing fixes.
  • Hands-on experience on end-to-end migration activities over Legacy apps.
  • More exposure on Logical and analytical knowledge on applications.
  • Process oriented knowledge on NFR’s and Feature based work.
  • Should have a real passion for learning and understanding the application and share knowledge with team.
  • Deep technical skills in Java 8 development(Spring, Spring Boot).
  • Proactive in looking into the tasks and ask questions to learn more and build individual ownership and responsibility on tasks.
  • Authority in debugging issues by looking at Monitoring tool and application logs to come up with defined RCA.
  • Jenkins CI/CD nice to have.
  • Good communication and presentation skills

Salary and Other Compensation :

Applications will be accepted until April 13th, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
