About Commonwealth Fusion Systems:
Commonwealth Fusion Systems is on a mission to deliver the urgent transition to fusion energy.
Combining decades of research, top talent and new technologies, we’re designing and building commercially viable fusion power plants. And working with policymakers and suppliers to build the energy industry of the future.
We’re in the best position to make it happen. Since 2018, we’ve raised over $2 billion in capital – more than any other fusion energy company in the U.S.
Now we’re looking for more thinkers, doers, builders, and makers to join us. People who’ll bring new perspectives, solve tough problems, and thrive as part of a team.
If that’s you and this role fits, we want to hear from you.
Join the power movement as a Manufacturing Specialist - Second Shift
The Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for supporting implementation of production process improvements and manufacturing efficiency improvements. This role works collaboratively with the manufacturing and equipment engineering teams to identify, implement, and track the performance of equipment and process improvement activities to reduce equipment downtime and improve quality rates. The Manufacturing Specialist will also be the first tier of engineering support for production. The purpose of this role is to help the production team shorten the timeline to SPARC.
At CFS, we excel in fast-paced environments, driven by our values of integrity, execution, impact, and self-critique. As we grow, we’re eager to bring on mission-driven folks who offer diverse perspectives and fresh ways to tackle challenges.
We value diversity deeply and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer by choice. We consider all qualified applicants equally, regardless of race, color, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, protected veteran status, religion, physical or mental disability, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, or any other basis protected by law.
If an employer mentions a salary or salary range on their job, we display it as an "Employer Estimate". If a job has no salary data, Rise displays an estimate if available.
Commonwealth Fusion Systems is looking for passionate individuals to join our team as a Manufacturing Specialist - Second Shift. Our mission revolves around delivering a crucial transition to fusion energy, and we want thinkers and doers who can help us innovate and improve our production processes. In this role, your primary focus will be on collaborating with various teams to design and implement process improvements that boost manufacturing efficiency and reduce our timeline to SPARC. You’ll be hands-on, working with cutting-edge technologies and troubleshooting equipment to enhance quality rates. You'll have the unique opportunity to brainstorm and execute continuous improvement projects, as well as design and commission electromechanical equipment. Your experience in mechanical and electrical assembly, along with your commitment to safety and quality, will be highly valuable to us. Beyond just handling tasks, we’re looking for someone to document and analyze manufacturing systems, continuously drive down downtime and aid in resolving nonconformances that could block production. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy collaborating with a diverse team while focusing on impactful work, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Join us in shaping the future of energy and be a part of something truly transformative as a Manufacturing Specialist - Second Shift at Commonwealth Fusion Systems.
