Job Description

JOB DETAILS

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the execution of all maintenance and assigned projects at the facility. Performs scheduled PMs and emergency maintenance repairs on all manufacturing equipment. Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs complex electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Associate can plan, maintain tooling, and fabricate replacement parts utilizing all fabrication and machining equipment. Performs basic to complex grounds/facilities repairs and ensures the accuracy of records and safety in all operations

  • Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
  • · Perform detailed setup on equipment, including recipe changes and control adjustments
  • · Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
  • · Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
  • · Intermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current, and resistance
  • · Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
  • · Intermediate understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
  • · Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
  • · Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment, and relocate machines
  • · Maintain and repair pneumatic systems, including repairs of cylinders and other components
  • · Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
  • · Enter all work completed in the computer-based maintenance program
  • · Monitor and report spare parts usage, including completing parts order forms
  • · Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
  • · Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills

Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • · Associates degree in related field is desired
  • · Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • · Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
  • · Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
  • · Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required
  • · Proficient in Word and Excel
  • · Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
  • · Ability to assist in Training Level I Technicians
  • · Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
  • · Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
  • · Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
  • · Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • · Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
  • · Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast-paced environment
  • · Flexible and willing to work overtime as required
