Carpenter

Craft and Technical Solutions is an established Marine and Industrial Staffing Company with offices all over the country. We partner with businesses as well as jobseekers to place individuals into positions efficiently. We are currently in need of Carpenters to join our team in Newport News, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Construct and install a wide range of structures using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Accurately measure and layout the dimensions of the structures being built or installed to ensure proper fit and alignment.
  • Select appropriate materials for each project based on factors such as strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Shrink-wrapping products for transport and efficient storage.
  • Repair and maintain existing structures, fixtures, and furniture.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while following safe work practices and complying with building codes.
  • Carefully follow plans and specifications, accurately measure and cut materials, and ensure that finished products meet quality standards and aesthetic requirements
  • 2 years of proven experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Comfortable working at elevated heights and tight spaces when necessary.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Capable of frequent stooping, kneeling, balancing, and crawling.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Pass 10-panel drug test.
