As a Seam Welder, you'll dive into various tasks, such as completing welding projects using flux core and stick processes. Reading blueprints and engineering drawings will be second nature to you as you tackle the fabrication, alignment, and assembly of structural components like plates, bulkheads, and frames. Understanding the properties of different metals and the appropriate welding techniques will be crucial for producing quality work. To thrive in this role, you’ll need a minimum of 5 years of shipyard welding experience and a determination to pass welding tests to secure your job offer.
