Asset Management Analyst

Description

The Asset Management team at Curbline Properties is looking for an Analyst in New York City who will provide asset management oversite over the Company’s portfolio of convenience retail assets. Each day the Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with business partners to formulate and implement property-level business plans and asset-level financial forecasts for a region of retail properties. The Analyst contributes directly to the company’s strategy by communicating financial strategy across the broader portfolio and overseeing property level business plans with the goal of maximizing the value of assets under management. To thrive in this role, we need an analytical and detailed-oriented Analyst with 2+ years of commercial real estate asset management experience and strong financial modeling skills using Excel and Argus.


This position works a hybrid schedule in the NYC office Monday-Wednesday. Additional days in the office might be required so you can get successfully oriented and trained in your new role during the initial 90-day onboarding period and on an ad-hoc basis depending on business needs.


The expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, geographical and industry market data, and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.


To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Maintain asset-level financial forecasts for a region of retail properties in Argus
  • Work with leasing, construction, legal and property management to formulate and implement property-level business plans
  • Collaborate with accounting teams on property level and corporate financial forecasts, including leasing, capital and expense analysis
  • Provide portfolio monitoring of tenant exposure and credit, and review of tenant credit for new leasing opportunities
  • Prepare and update reporting materials for internal and external users including lenders, equity investors, and Board of Directors
  • Conduct various analyses on public REIT securities including both equities and debt


We are looking for an Associate with:

  • Prior experience in a professional, analytical role within the commercial real estate industry, specifically the asset management function
  • Proficiency in Excel and Argus Enterprise
  • Strong educational background in finance or real estate
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when underwriting
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
