Job Description

At Dewberry, we are seeking a Recruiting Operations Manager to support the development of the recruiting team and execution of recruiting strategies across our organization. This position will lead, develop, grow, and inspire a team of experienced recruiters and serve as a key leader on the Human Resources Leadership Team, ensuring overall priorities are aligned and in support of the strategic plan. This is a great opportunity to be a critical member of a high-performing team and can be located at our headquarters in Fairfax, VA or in any of our regional offices.

The Recruiting Operations Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and performance management to the recruiting team while ensuring OFCCP and all labor law compliance requirements are met. This role will develop and implement innovative strategies to attract top talent to meet current and future business needs. In addition to overall team management, the Recruiting Operations Manager will be responsible for full life cycle recruiting for an assigned geography/population.

While we offer flexible schedules, we prioritize in-person presence in the office. This is a hybrid role where the selected candidate will need to be in the office at least three times a week.

Responsibilities

Responsiblities: 

  • Lead, develop, and influence a team of experienced AEC recruiters.
  • Deep dive into applicant tracking system and other tools to optimize use of technology, reduce manual efforts, and streamline processes.
  • Review and monitor workload and capacity across the recruiting team, adjusting recruiting support as needed during peak recruiting times.
  • Present and report key recruiting metrics and talent acquisition strategies to operational leadership and recruiting team.
  • Manage vendor and agency relationships for maximum return on investment.
  • Ability to thrive, and preference for, dynamic, fast paced and high growth environments.
  • Leverage data analytics and recruiting metrics to measure effectiveness of recruiting efforts, optimize strategies, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Recommend and implement change management as needed.
  • Build strong, credible relationships with senior leadership, hiring managers, critical stakeholders and partners, operating as a trusted advisor and talent subject matter expert.
  • Identify and source top talent through multiple venues such as job boards, industry-specific sites, social media outlets, and other sourcing avenues.
  • Manage and perform full cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing and closing top talent while complying with EEO and OFCCP federal regulations.
  • Strategize on driving recruitment actions to support culture of inclusion and diversity.
  • Lead effort with hiring managers to develop strategic recruiting and staffing solutions to meet company talent acquisition objectives.
  • Serve as a member of the HR Leadership Team providing support when needed.
  • Partner with HR Directors on talent and recruiting strategies in their respective regions.
  • Periodic travel to Operational team meetings is required. The candidate is expected to visit geographic locations to which they are assigned at least once annually, but also when necessary due to any specific situation requiring HR support.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive recruiting management experience. 
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of technology, technical roles and technical skills.
  • Proficiency in iCIMS applicant tracking system preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
