Inventory Control Specialist

EquipmentShare is Hiring a Inventory Control Specialist

Inventory Controls Specialist assists in conducting and executing all Inventory audits, Distribution Centers (DC) and field including post audit reports. This role will support audit compliance through physical inspections and assist the Manager and Director of Inventory Controls in field preparation for year-end audit.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and execution of inventory related processes & systems for the set-up of the Centralized DC.
  • Work in concert with the Manager and Director of Inventory Controls and DC personnel to monitor and test inventory related KPIs and dashboards for the Centralized DC.
  • Weekly reporting related to site observations.
  • Presentation of findings to the Director of Inventory Controls for those found not to be in compliance, and preparation of next steps aimed at resolving the issues found.
  • Standard parts room layout design, as well as labeling and barcoding requirements.  
  • Standard new location inventory set up based on expected machine count/type development to aid in new market set up.
  • Year-end KPMG location readiness
  • Additional responsibilities as needed to accommodate company growth.

  • Conducts virtual audits during non-travel weeks.
  • This is a remote position.

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Intermediate to Expert level knowledge of Google Sheets/Docs (Or Microsoft Office products) and comfortable using Macbook.
  • Past experience in project management preferred, PMP, or other certifications are a plus. 
  • At least 3+ years’ experience within an inventory or distribution center environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Must have a valid drivers license 
  • Must be available to work 40+ hours/week as business requires
  • Must have availability to travel up to 75% (most will be overnight travel)
