We are currently expanding our research capabilities in Bangalore to address growing global demand for custom research solutions. To this end we are setting up a unit that will become our Analytical Centre of Excellence, and which will focus on a) working with our global Consulting teams on large and complex projects, and b) develop and deliver its own range of products.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in business, competitive intelligence, consulting, or market research. He/she will possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English and strong analytical, numerical and data manipulation skills. We are looking for motivated self-starters looking to become internal industry or solution experts within our Consulting team and Euromonitor. You will be required to conduct primary and secondary research on industry and company sources; review, query and consolidate research materials from in-country researchers; and prepare complex data sets in Excel and management reports in PowerPoint.
Background in statistics, computer science, applied mathematics or similar field is a key advantage. We are looking for individuals who have interest in innovative ways of data visualization, cleansing data, data science, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence.
• High level of numeracy; the ability to build data models and run comprehensive checks across complex data sets compiled from various sources
• Good analysis and report writing skills; the ability to use all insights gather to build a comprehensive summary report
• Confidence in engaging with trade sources in order to gain additional insight and validate information found in the public domain
• The ability to use desk research effectively to bolster and verify insight from other sources • Excellent oral and written communication skills
• The ability to perform well under pressure; working efficiently and fast when required by tight project timeline and deal with tough client questioning in a professional manner
• Strong organisational skills and ability
• Tenacity and attention to detail
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• An engineering, mathematics, physics or computer science background an advantage
• Experience in data manipulation and cleaning, multi-dimensional scaling and numerous types of data transformation
• Ability to demonstrate and communicate findings to all stakeholders and the leadership team
• Other widely spoken language and editorial skills an advantage
• Ability and comfort to work independently and make key decisions on projects.
• The confidence and ability to take the post forward with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau
• Design, develop, and implement BI solutions using Power BI and Tableau, translating business requirements into technical specifications.

• Knowledge of econometric methods
• Experience in Python, SQL, SPARQL, HTML or similar
• Experience in web scraping
• Experience in implementing data-driven learning algorithms.
