Part-Time Registered Behavior Technician

Essential Functions for ABA Therapist

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Work 1-1 with clients following individualized ABA treatment plans for children/adults with autism in the home settings.

  • Teach clients to acquire language, academic, social, and self-help skills under the supervision of a BCBA treatment plan

  • Implement programs and skills that are centered around helping the client reach their full potential Assist in creating new client projects and materials

  • Provide the client’s families with parent training to expand the client’s advancement opportunities. Have ongoing support and supervision in the field by BCBA level staff.

  • Assists in designing and implementing behavior analytic programming as it relates to “ABA-Verbal Behavior” skill acquisition and behavior management programming

  • Assists in creating, developing, and monitoring individualized programming

  • Maintains reliable and consistent schedules with families

  • Ensures requirements for documentation of clinical services are implemented

  • Adherence to BACB guidelines for ethical conduct.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

1. 1+ years’ previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities, behavioral issues, or related field.

2. Excellent time management skills with experience managing a caseload.

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

5. Strong commitment to providing quality behavior analytic programming.

6. Enthusiastic, self-motivated to teach and learn more about Applied Behavior Analysis.

7. Enthusiastic and great desire to work to with children diagnosed with autism

1. Accuracy- Must be able to consistently accurately calculate and record information.

2. Customer Service- Must respond promptly to customer needs. Must solicit customer feedback to improve service. Must meets commitments.

3. Organization- Must be organized for effective time management and use of resources.

4. Learning Orientation- Must have a desire and willingness to continuously learn and grow professionally; Must stay up to date on the latest changes in accounting principles and policies

5. Flexibility- Must be able and willing “wear many hats” and adapt to changing business needs as the company grows; Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed

6. Ethical Conduct- Must uphold and enforce the company’s ethical standards and comply with local, state and federal law

7. Problem Solving- Demonstrates subject matter knowledge commensurate with experience. Solves problems using multiple problem-solving tools and techniques using appropriate resources, personal knowledge and experience with whatever data are available given the situation.

8. Collaboration- Must work well with other departments/functions.

9. Communication- Must communicate effectively to employees, clients; Must speak, write and read English at the necessary level to safely and competently perform all job duties

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This job operates in a client home environment. Employees must feel comfortable going into client homes and neighborhoods within assigned territory.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This role is primarily sedentary, but is occasionally mobile. The incumbent is occasionally required to bend, stoop, reach, lift, walk and stand; and is regularly required to talk, hear, see and speak. Employees must be able to lift at least 30lbs.
