SUPV - RETAIL SPORTSBOOK

Overview

 Under the direction of the Sportsbook Manager the incumbent will be responsible for working within a team to exceed customer satisfaction expectations and enhancing the player experience by providing professional, accurate and timely assistance for all matters related to the player’s interaction with the Sportsbook and its related products

Responsibilities

  • Record wager requests from patrons and input them into the wagering system
  • Manage a cash drawer for taking wagers and making payouts and reconcile this drawer
  • Commit to detecting and advising customers at risk of potential responsible gaming issues
  • Effectively communicate T’s & C’s to customers regarding wagering rules and policy’s
  • Promote and educate patrons on the availability of all sports related products and wager types
  • Supervise a team of Sportsbook Agents
  • Reconciling cash drawers for Agents at the end of their shift
  • Enforcing and interpreting internal controls and standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring the retail Sportsbook operation always remains compliant with regulations
  • Approving large wagers and paying out large wins
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must hold or be able to obtain a Casino Key Employee License from the NJ DGE
  • Competent working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Advanced knowledge of online and/or brick and mortar casino and sports book operations not a requirement, but a plus!
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • The department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; management expectation is that you must be able to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
