Construction Engineering Inspector

Top ENR firm looking to add a motivated Construction Engineering Inspector with opportunity for growth!


Responsibilities:
  • Daily communication with project team members, clients, and contractors
  • Read/interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Various inspections including underground utilities, road and/or bridge items and report discrepancies to Project Engineer
  • Follow QA/QC practices/procedures
  • Ensure work is compliant with plans, contractor submittals
  • Measure, calculate, and determine quantities of assigned work and/or installed materials
  • Ensure installed materials meet specifications and testing requirements
  • Prepare Daily Inspector’s Reports and review other reports


Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in Civil Technology required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
  • 3+ years of construction/inspection experience with field/office experience in transportation and municipal projects
  • 3+ years of experience in bridge/roadway construction inspection
  • Experience working on Michigan construction projects
  • Multiple MDOT certifications preferred
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Fieldbook, and Microsoft Office


Salary is commensurate with experience.
