Quality Assurance / CMM Programmer

Job Title: Quality Assurance / CMM Programmer Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance / CMM Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to ensure that manufactured parts meet strict quality and dimensional requirements. This role involves interpreting blueprints, creating inspection programs using MCOSMOS C1 (or similar software), performing first article inspections, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to improve quality processes. * Pay Scale: Hourly Rate: $25 $35 per hour (depending on experience & location) Key Responsibilities: * CMM Programming & Operation:

  • Develop and optimize CMM programs using MCOSMOS C1 or similar software.
  • Operate CMMs to perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Analyze measurement results and generate detailed inspection reports.
* Quality Assurance & Inspection:
  • Inspect complex geometric parts using CMMs and manual measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and engineering drawings.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming parts.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection data and quality reports.
* Process Improvement & Collaboration:
  • Work closely with engineers and machinists to resolve quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in calibrating and maintaining measurement equipment.
Qualifications & Skills: * Required: Experience with CMM programming (preferably MCOSMOS C1) .
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading .
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and suggest improvements.
* Preferred:
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries .
  • Familiarity with other CMM software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, etc.).
Work Environment:
  • Full-time role in a manufacturing or quality control setting.
  • Exposure to machinery and production areas.
  • Requires attention to detail and ability to work under deadline
