American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter Consult

Company Description

Our Early Intervention programs provide services to families with children birth to 3 years of age with developmental delays or at risk for developmental delays. The primary focus of early intervention is to provide education, training and support to families to help their children learn and grow.  We provide home and center based services.

Job Description

  • Provide in person interpreting for families
  • Facilitate communication between parents/caregivers and early intervention staff.
  • Schedule visits for early intervention staff
  • Provide interpreting services for early intervention visits including intake, evaluation and home visits.
  • $25-30 per hour

Qualifications

  • Verbal fluency in both English and language of specific population served.
  • Interpreting experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for in person interpreting services
  • Understanding of interpreter role in encouraging and fostering direct communication between provider and parent/caregiver.
