We’re looking for an experienced Snowflake Developer to lead the design and development of high-impact Snowflake products, proof of concepts (POCs) and demo environments that bring our data platform capabilities to life for prospective clients. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and client services, supporting our go-to-market strategy through technical storytelling and rapid prototyping.
You’ll work closely with our Strategy, Innovation, and Product Growth teams to craft and deliver compelling technical demonstrations that showcase how Snowflake can unlock value for our clients within the public sector and defense ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Snowflake-based data solutions to support sales demos, pilots, and technical proof of concepts.
- Collaborate with strategy and client services teams to align technical capabilities with client needs and market demand.
- Build reusable demo assets and templates that accelerate future engagements.
- Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Support documentation and technical storytelling that resonates with both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with Snowflake features, ecosystem tools (e.g., dbt, Streamlit, Fivetran), and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud data platform development.
- 2+ years of direct experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, security, performance tuning, and ELT workflows.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of modern data architecture.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Ability to work independently to create POCs in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- SnowPro Core certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Streamlit, Snowpark, and notebooks and other Snowflake ecosystem tools including Fivetran, dbt, Talend, and Power BI/Tableau/Qlik
- Previous experience in pre-sales, advisory, or demo development.
- Knowledge of government or defense data environments a strong plus
- SnowPro Advanced certification(s)
Salary: $125k+ to align with experience and education
Schedule: Hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite in San Diego, CA, Washington, DC or Charleston, SC
