Job Description:

When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.” You’ll practice big-city medicine with a small-city feel.   

About this role: 

As a General Cardiologist, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.  In this role you will join a rapidly growing cardiology group that includes 3 other EPs, 4 Interventional cardiologists, 3 General Cardiologists and 8 APPs 

  • This position includes a $30,000 sign-on bonus, up to $20,000 in relocation assistance, and $75,000 in student loan repayment when applicable 

  • You will practice at West Park Cardiology and St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado 

  • Responsibilities include a rotational inpatient rounding week, outpatient clinic, reading ECGs, echocardiograms, and nuclear studies along with performing cardioversions and transesophageal echos.    

  • General call is equally shared and averages one night per week and one weekend per month.    

  • Nonprofit healthcare system, Level II Trauma Center with 346 beds and a large referral area.  

  • Full structural heart program including TAVR, Mitra-clip, Watchman and PFO closure, full EP support, advanced cardiac imaging with cardiac CT/CT-FFR established and cMRI.

Compensation:  

 Annual Base Salary: $600,000.00 
wRVU Bonus: $63.00 per wRVU over 8990

Quality Incentive: $25,000.00 
  

What you’ll bring: 

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine 

  • ABMS board certification or eligibility in Cardiology  

  • Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one 

  • BLS certification and DEA 

  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process 

  • Candidates requiring JI or H1B Visa sponsorships are welcome to apply! 

  • Clinic will provide immigration assistance

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
