This position is contingent on contract award.
This is an on-call casual position responsible for responding to disasters in support of state and federal government efforts. The Emergency Medical Technician may be deployed for periods ranging from 14 to 120 days to areas impacted by significant disasters across the United States and its territories. Compensation rates will vary depending on the specific disaster and location.
The Firefighter EMT performs a comprehensive array of firefighting and emergency medical services (EMS) duties, including the suppression of various fire types, provision of emergency medical care, and participation in fire training and prevention initiatives. This role involves responding to fire, rescue, and emergency medical calls according to established protocols, executing emergency medical procedures for the care of the sick and injured, and safely operating fire apparatus during emergency responses. Additionally, the Firefighter EMT is responsible for maintaining fire and EMS equipment, ensuring it is returned to an operational state after each incident.
