Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern

How you will do it:

We are seeking a motivated and talented engineering intern to support the design, testing, and manufacturing of air-cooled chillers, including scroll, screw, and centrifugal products. The successful candidate will engage in various engineering projects, which may involve 3D CAD modeling, engineering analysis, and refrigeration and piping assessments.

In addition to supporting local needs, interns participate in activity across the broader Johnson Controls network for skills training and compete in presentation events.

Duration: This will be a full-time undergraduate summer 2025 internship. Candidates may have the opportunity to work part-time during the semester as well. 

What we look for:

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at an ABET accredited U.S. college or university
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; preferably Mechanical Engineering
  • Currently a junior or senior graduating in Dec 2025 or later
  • Must have CAD experience with 3D modeling, FEA a plus
  • US Citizen
  • Local candidates preferred; no relocation provided
