The Manager, Cloud Security Operations will oversee a team responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This role ensures operational efficiency, security, and reliability of our cloud environments while collaborating with engineering, security, and product teams to support the company’s growth and performance objectives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage a small team of cloud engineers responsible for public cloud infrastructure operations. 
  • Oversee the administration, monitoring, and optimization of cloud environments to ensure availability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Implement best practices for cloud security, governance, and compliance, ensuring alignment with industry standards. 
  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to streamline CI/CD processes and improve cloud automation. 
  • Develop and enforce cloud operational policies, incident response procedures, and disaster recovery strategies. 
  • Optimize cloud spend by implementing cost management strategies and identifying areas for efficiency. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in cloud performance, availability, and security through proactive monitoring and analytics. 
  • Manage cloud-related incidents, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolution efforts across teams. 
  • Keep up to date with emerging cloud technologies and recommend enhancements to infrastructure strategy. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. 
  • Hands-on experience with one or more major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, and IAM best practices. 
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker). 
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience managing cloud incidents. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Professional Cloud Architect, etc.). 
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment with large-scale cloud deployments. 
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog. 
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
