This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Special Events Manager to join our team supporting a government client in the Washington Metropolitan Area. In this role you will be part of the acquisition management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage special events that range from private dinners to large scale conferences and receptions involving hundreds of people.
  • Coordinate logistical activities needed to make these events successfully planned and conducted in a professional manner to support mission objectives
  • Support special event activities on an as-needed basis and manage special events personnel.
  • Oversee Special Events personnel to coordinate with the Audio Video(AV) Team with setup, use, and disassembly of audio systems for internal presentations and press briefings (including audio and video recording).
  • When Government facilities are not available, assist the customer with finding alternate venues, in accordance with government guidelines and applicable security requirements.
  • provide support to customer’s planning events, to include attending meetings and suggesting enhancements.
  • Coordinate with food service vendors to determine equipment needs for catered events.
  • Maintain records of events to include number of attendees, type of setup, and special equipment required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Clearance Requirement:  TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Minimum of an associate's degree or relevant certifications in Event Management.
  • Manage special events that range from private dinners to large scale conferences and receptions involving hundreds of people.
  • Coordinate logistical activities needed to make these events successfully planned and conducted in a professional manner to support mission objectives
  • Support special event activities on an as-needed basis and manage special events personnel.

Desired:

Basic Compensation:

$69,400 - $104,100

This range is for the Maryland area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
