Job Description:

L3Harris Fuzing & Ordnance Systems (FOS) designs ruggedized electronics for a variety of military fuzing and ordnance systems. Our staff has led or supported the development, design, qualification, and manufacture of numerous Electronic and Electro-Mechanical fuzing devices for numerous large defense contractors and direct government customers. We invite you to consider a position on our creative and highly motivated team.

 

This Electrical Engineering position is in a fast paced and dynamic environment requiring tasking flexibility to meet ever changing customer objectives. It will require the ability to work within a team structure as well as work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Analog and digital design of ruggedized electronics for ordnance applications.
  • Circuit tolerance analyses using hand calculations and Spice tools
  • Generate test plans and test reports related to product performance
  • Perform test activities in all phases of product development cycle.
  • Assist in failure investigations using structured tools (8D, Fishbone, Cause & Effect, etc.).
  • Multi-task across several projects simultaneously

     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or related field.

     

Preferred Additional Skills/Experience:

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Knowledge of basic analog building blocks including differential amplifiers, op amps, LDOs, filters, and data converters
  • Experience with basic digital building blocks including logic gates, flip flops, timers, and filters
  • Experience using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, etc.)
  • Experience with modeling and simulation utilities (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, etc. )
  • Experience with schematic capture and/or board layout utilities (Altium, PADS, etc.)
  • Experience in creating Technical Documentation (Test Plans, Test Reports, Drawings, etc.)
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications
