Our direct client has an opening for a Network Technician position # 11607-1. This position is for 12+ months, with option of extension, and will be worked 100%  on-site in Clemson, SC.

Description:

 

Monitors, tests, maintains and repairs network and infrastructure elements for Clemson CCIT.

 

Monitors Clemson network, server, and application elements, resolves incidents and service requests and/or consults with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution. Applies state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve The network control center.

 

Control network and system processing. Responds to customer inquiries and alerts via emails, incoming calls, and walk-ins. Conducts routine inspections on equipment and reports any abnormalities. Other operational duties as assigned such as meetings, project work, administration and facilities requirements. 

 

Configure network and system resources, and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides Tier II support as per SME agreements. Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches. Assist With Implementing Network Automation Tools.

 

Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and knowledge base. Participates in training and cross training for the Tier II. . Provides customer service for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas.
