We are seeking an exceptional Staff Quant UX Researcher / Survey specialist to join our Product team. You will lead research across our iOS / Android Lime Rider app, in addition to contributing to our safety programs, city integrations, monetization strategy, and hardware teams to deliver full service design. 


You will be responsible for leading strategic efforts such as: thematic-specific deep dives, defining and executing a continuous service health monitoring program, or developing and supporting post-launch evaluations. In addition to your IC work, you will be responsible for supporting specific project-based survey needs across software and hardware teams. 


We are looking for leaders who have an arsenal of quantitative UXR tools, and who are able to jump in to deliver core tactical studies, as well as identifying and delivering foundational UXR opportunities to drive our business forwards. We are looking for leaders who are interested in growing the capabilities of our QUXR discipline over the long-term. 

What you'll do:

  • Define and measure quantitative UX goals and metrics to assess and monitor service health across the rider experience, as well as post-launch evaluations, in collaboration with XFN partners (eg. PM, DS, ENG, UXD, Brand). 

  • Identify and frame strategic problems, own the research lifecycle, translate insights to influence both short and long-term product decisions and roadmaps. 

  • Conduct statistical analysis to extract key insights from data and communicate findings in ways accessible to technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Support product teams across software and hardware to plan, launch, and analyze surveys.

  • Work closely with XFN partners to demonstrate the value of quantitative user research and guide product direction. 

  • Demonstrate excellent statistical and scientific judgement, producing rigorous results in a fast-paced environment, and setting a high technical standard. 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar.

  • Experience in programming languages commonly used for data manipulation and computational statistics, and with SQL. 

  • Experience with product research, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting.


  • Preferred qualifications 

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.  

  • 7+ years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar.

  • Experience in programming languages commonly used for data manipulation and computational statistics, and with SQL. 

  • Deep and practical understanding of probability and statistics, including causal inference. 

  • Experience with product research, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting.

  • Expertise in mobile app design & development. Preferred expertise in transportation and / or working with hardware partners and operations partners.

  • An ability to own and drive the strategy and execution of entire end-to-end research programs.

  • Track record of research work that has directly impacted product, team, or business direction or strategy. 

  • Experience working in a very dynamic environment.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work fully independently. 

  • Strong stakeholder management and peer (eg. PM, DS, ENG, UXD) collaboration skills. 

  • Comfortable teaching others. 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
