Software Engineer Co-Op

Get ready for the best learning experience of your life. You will receive the same orientation training as our full-time engineers, you will be matched with an individual mentor, and you will be committing production code by the end of your first week. In the course of your internship, you will be tasked with one or more mission-critical projects and make meaningful contributions to LiveRamp's success. Also, if our previous interns are any guides, you will have a ton of fun in the process!

Internships are 12 weeks long. Should we want to extend you a full-time offer after you graduate, we ask that you would be willing to consider this at the end of your internship. We are seeking interns interested in full-stack application development and big data back-end engineering.


Get ready for the best learning experience of your life. You will receive the same orientation training as our full-time engineers, you will be matched with an individual mentor, and you will be committing production code by the end of your first week. In the course of your Co-Op, you will be tasked with one or more mission-critical projects and make meaningful contributions to LiveRamp's success. 

We are seeking Co-Op candidates interested in full-stack application development and big data back-end engineering.

Join one of the following teams within Engineering: 

  • Activations & Data Marketplace: Data Marketplace, Activations Full-stack, Activations Backend

  • Data Management Platform: Data Transformation, Data Ingestion

  • Collaboration & Analytics: Measurement OS, Cloud Runtime

  • Identity: Cloud Embedded Identity, Online Identity, Graph Builders, Identity Services, 1st Party Identity Backend

  • Infrastructure: Data Stewardship, Global SRE

You will:

  • Contribute deeply to our real production systems - billions of daily requests, 80+ PBs of data, millions of anonymous people records, and powerful web applications to make it all accessible and intuitive.

  • Learn about the business and engineering practices at LiveRamp.

  • Prove yourself and earn the responsibilities of a full-time engineer.

About you: 

  • Possess strong coding skills that you are ready to turn into industry-ready coding skills

  • Background? Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or other STEM degrees

  • Excited to learn new languages and technologies

  • Willing to dive in and learn by doing

  • Ready to work with others to solve hard problems

  • Possess a startup personality: smart, ethical, friendly, hard-working and proactive

  • Excited to work with products that have close interactions with customers

Bonus Points (varies by team, but here are a few): 

  • Knowledge of Java, Core Java, Big Data, such as Hadoop and Spark

  • Knowledge of distributed SQL database management systems, such as SingleStore

  • Experience with GCP or another cloud provider (AWS, Azure, ...)

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Cadence, Scala

  • Contributions to open-source projects

  • Projects involving Workflow Orchestration

  • Experience with Agile software development

  • Experience developing user interfaces with the React framework

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails or Node.js

  • Experience with TypeScript and Express.js

The approximate compensation range is $30.00 per hour. The actual offer will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geography, as well as internal equity among our team.
