Remote Finance Controller (Dayshift & WFH) - #34215

Our client is an Australian-based company founded in 2012. With their laser focus on the ServiceNow platform, they facilitate a continuous flow of value by engaging businesses & IT, facilitating technology change, aligning sourcing and optimizing internal IT management capabilities.

A seasoned finance leader with strong English communication skills, capable of engaging with senior executives, Heads of Sales, and Delivery teams. Holds a strategic role overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and consolidated accounting across five entities. Experienced in insurance management, payroll accuracy, client invoicing, and audit oversight (ML, PH). Adept at corporate financial matters and driving high-level financial strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Communication: Collaborates with senior executives, Head of Sales, and Delivery teams. Maintains clear communication with internal and external contacts, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Financial Oversight: Manages budgeting, forecasting, payroll accuracy, and insurance across multiple entities. Ensures timely payment of suppliers and payroll while maximizing cash flow.
  • Audit & Compliance: Oversees external audits (ML, PH) and tax compliance across AU, Malaysia, and Singapore
  • Ensures compliance with company, payroll-related, and withholding taxes.
  • Operations & Process Improvement: Leads invoicing, client account management, collections, and financial strategy. Manages the Internal ServiceNow revenue timecard system.
  • Financial Reporting: Provides accurate accounting and financial reporting, including reconciliations and monthly financial reports, within reporting deadlines.
  • Process Optimization: Challenges existing processes, identifies inefficiencies, and explores automation or improvements. Enhances internal controls and compliance.
  • Other Responsibilities: Performs additional duties and projects as required by the business.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in financial accounting, ideally within manufacturing, service industries, or corporate compliance.
  • Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of Australian accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in financial reporting, treasury, tax compliance, and payroll accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
  • Strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and highly collaborative with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to optimize and develop financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Advantageous / nice to have:

Familiarity with Xero, ServiceNow, or similar financial tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
