Pay Range:$13.50 - 15.00 / hr. DOE


The Night Auditor performs a variety of duties for guests of hotel. The Night Auditor answers all inquiries pertaining to hotel service and registration of guests. Run nightly hotel audit balance and forward to Accounting department.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide superior guest service, positively affects interactions with external and internal guests and team members.
  • Make, confirm, change and cancel reservations for guests. Assign rooms, issue room keys and provide information pertaining to the property.
  • Record room availability and guest accounts.
  • Operate and oversee switchboard which includes answering and/or transferring calls and assisting callers in a timely manner.
  • Settle guest accounts by posting cash, credit cards and direct bills.
  • Run reports as required, but not limited to: Reservation Master, Housekeeping, Checkout, Credit Limit, group delegates and expected departure reports.
  • Maintain communication with housekeeping on status of rooms.
  • Balance all paperwork, post and adjust changes and update logbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain State of Nevada Gaming Card.
  • Prior hotel experience preferred.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Data entry and 10 key experience preferred.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Perform job functions with exceptional attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem-solver and ability to handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position including but not limited to computers, telephones, fax machines, copiers, and printers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all times with Casino/Hotel’s guests as well as all levels of team members.
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to effectively use computer to access, understand and input guest information.
  • The position is, at times, subject to crowds and noise; the severity of which depends upon guest volume.
