Medical Associates Clinic, located in Dubuque, Iowa, is seeking a PA or NP to join the Pulmonology department!
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pulmonology team of 3 APPs and one Physician. The APP will work collaboratively with Dr. Powers to care for patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions. This role involves both independent patient management and team-based care in our clinic.
- Diagnose and evaluations for patients with pulmonary disorders such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension, work up of pulmonary nodules, bronchitis, pneumonia, and pleurisy.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests
Schedule is Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, 5 days/week.Responsibilities Include:
Providing direct medical care under the direction of supervising physician(s) including but not limited to:
- obtaining histories and vitals
- performing physical and Medicare Wellness exams
- ordering and interpreting appropriate lab and radiology studies
- establishing diagnosis
- initiating treatment plan
- managing chronic diseases
- promoting and ordering vaccination
- providing patient education to promote wellness and support disease management processes

Qualifications:
Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience preferred. Experience strongly preferred.
Education: Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or graduate degree. Must be a licensed ARNP or PA.
