Medical Associates Clinic, located in Dubuque, Iowa, is seeking a PA or NP to join the Pulmonology department!

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pulmonology team of 3 APPs and one Physician. The APP will work collaboratively with Dr. Powers to care for patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions. This role involves both independent patient management and team-based care in our clinic.

Diagnose and evaluations for patients with pulmonary disorders such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension, work up of pulmonary nodules, bronchitis, pneumonia, and pleurisy.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests

Schedule is Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, 5 days/week.

Responsibilities Include:

Providing direct medical care under the direction of supervising physician(s) including but not limited to:

obtaining histories and vitals
performing physical and Medicare Wellness exams
ordering and interpreting appropriate lab and radiology studies
establishing diagnosis
initiating treatment plan
managing chronic diseases
promoting and ordering vaccination
providing patient education to promote wellness and support disease management processes

Qualifications:

Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience preferred. Experience strongly preferred.

Education: Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or graduate degree. Must be a licensed ARNP or PA.
