In this exciting Manufacturing Technician role, you will be part of the dedicated, experienced, and high-performing Technician team at the Medtronic Energy and Component Center (MECC) in Brooklyn Center, MN. At this facility, we design, develop, and manufacture components used in Medtronic medical devices. In this role you will gain experience with advanced manufacturing processes and equipment, supporting the manufacturing of batteries for implantable defibrillators. You will be a key member of the operations team, ensuring optimal equipment performance to support daily production as well as driving improvements to support manufacturing stability.This posting is for a Technician Level 1 – hiring at a higher level will be considered for qualified candidates.
Normal shifts for this role are from 2pm – 10pm, Mon – Fri.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Devises, fabricates, installs, tests, and repairs mechanical equipment and systems involving the movement of physical components in the manufacturing area.
- Assisting engineers with developing technical solutions related to the operation and performance of devices and systems.
- Installs, repairs, and upgrades components of mechanical devices and systems in the manufacturing area.
- Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components for machinery and equipment.
- Conducts quality assurance/control tests and procedures.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Requires high school diploma, or equivalent.
