Job Location:    Corona, CA
Salary Range:    $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 Salary

Description

The Engineering Project Manager will coordinate multiple, concurrent engineering projects including custom product development and lab testing and will own cross functional collaboration with Operations and Sales to drive project execution. Primary focus will on our HVAC filtration business. We are looking for a person with excellent organizational skills who can collaborate and drive results through diverse people and teams.  The ideal candidate will enjoy a fast-paced, hands-on role, and thrive with the responsibility of managing a large task list to deliver projects on time and on budget.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage engineering projects from inception to completion - monitor project progress and adjust as needed to ensure the overall goal stays on track.
  • Create project plans and timelines using our simple project planning approach and software. These project plans should anticipate resource bottlenecks, outline dependencies on other groups, and always maintain focus on delivery timing and quality.
  • Works cross-functionally across members of K&N Engineering, Lab, Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, and various outside companies.
  • Responsible to be onsite to evaluate and manage workload and progress of tasks in order to keep projects on track.

Qualifications


Experience, Skills & Education:

  • Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs required- especially MS TEAMS, Planner, Excel, Powerpoint, and Sharepoint.  Other team collaboration software a plus.
  • At least two (2) years of experience managing engineering projects
  • At least two (2) years of product development processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of effective project management techniques.
  • Experience with HVAC filtration systems a plus.

 

Additional Qualities Necessary:

  • Must be extremely well organized and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple duties simultaneously.
  • Must show high initiative and drive to keep cross functional teams on track to the desired timeline.
  • Must be highly accountable with follow up on tasks and projects to meet pre-determined deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Must demonstrate excellent and proactive verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers, both in 1-on-1 and team situations.
  • Must deliver a positive company image and approach work with a can-do attitude.
  • Must be willing to seek and/or attend training to keep knowledge and skills up to date, including the evaluation of new technologies to maintain product dominance in the marketplace.
