We are looking for you to join our team as a Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  The preferred location for this position is Sunnyvale, CA, but full time remote will be considered anywhere in the country.

What you will get to do:

  • Source and procure specialized goods and services.
  • Own contractual management for the supplier.
  • Responsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phases.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.
  • Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.
  • Prepare bid packages, conduct bidders conferences, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, write awards, and administer resulting subcontracts.
  • In conjunction with quality organization, evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.
  • Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
  • Manage performance of subcontracts, ensure compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
  • Employ sound business practices and assess supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded. Manages and develops strategic/key suppliers.
  • Review and approve supplier payment as needed.
  • Utilize process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • support post-award management of subcontracts including risk mitigation for schedule and quality, invoicing and milestone approvals and order close-out.

Basic Qualifications for the Supply Chain Subcontracts Administrator:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of relevant supply chain experience, or 1 year(s) of relevant supply chain experience with a Master’s degree (An additional 4 years of relevant supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARS

Preferred Qualifications for the Supply Chain Subcontracts Administrator:

  • Supplier selection/management experience on US Government contract(s)
  • Past experience performing successfully in a buying, supply chain planning, or supply chain program management role
  • Experience with procurement and contracting principles, policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Compliance experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with SAP
  • Experience with U.S. government and industry supply chain practices
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Previous Control Account Manager (CAM) experience or training
  • Risk mitigation experience
  • Change Management experience

Salary Range: $67,200.00 - $110,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
