Electronics Technician

Responsibilities

Noblis MSD Technologies is seeking an Electronics Technician to support our NAVWAR work at the NIEF in San Diego.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing, configuring, and testing computer networks to include both hardware and software with assistance
    • Hardware includes, but is not limited to, routers, switches, servers, inline encryptors, and modems
  • Troubleshoot networking and connectivity problems with some assistance
  • Run and trace cables
  • Attend technical meetings
  • Assist with the development of technical briefs
  • Update technical documentation as directed

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma + 4 years of experience
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance 
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Experience with cable building, installation, and troubleshooting

Desired Qualifications

  • Recent NC4I(S) or other relevant experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes
  • Experience with various IT rack cabling, including Ethernet (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat7), fiber optic (Single-Mode, Multi-Mode), power (AC, DC, PDU), console (RJ45 to DB9, USB to RJ45), coaxial (RG-6, RG-59), SFP/DAC cables, and cable management for organized and efficient networking setups.
  • Very good written and verbal communication, along with effective time and project management skills
  • Active Secret clearance

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
