Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - School of Nursing Dean's Office Assistant. The student worker will work closely with School of Nursing (SON) Administration and Staff performing functions associated with a professional licensing program to include the program admissions process, student admission advisement/customer service, graduation and pinning events, orientation, records analysis and archival determinations, and all other specialized projects assigned.
The Student Worker will gain knowledge needed to perform both technical and analytical processes by completing tasks in coordination with project lead. As program/practices process knowledge grows, so will assignments to include application workshop development and delivery, advanced student services providing nursing program information to interested parties, records preservation and or disposal, along with other key supportive responsibilities of the SON Dean’s Office. This position will also provide phone coverage, respond to student inquiries by phone and email, assist with room scheduling, perform data entry into student information system, and will be accountable for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.

Work Hours:
This position will work 19.5 hours per week. Prefer morning availability but will work with class schedule. Scheduled work hours will be performed during regular work week hours, Monday – Friday, between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
Hourly Rate:
$12.00 per hour.
