Job Description

Olsson’s rail traffic experts provide clients with a single resource for services such as traffic signal preemption design, grade crossing safety design, traffic operations studies, and other related services. As Project Engineer for the rail traffic team, you will assist with traffic and preemption analysis/design, perform site visits, assist with plan or study preparation, and work closely with others on complex projects.

*Olsson currently has one opportunity for a Project Engineer located in Irvine, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Lincoln, NE, or Omaha, NE.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 6+ years of traffic or transportation engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar software)
  • Proficiency in Synchro (or similar software)
  • Strong problem-solving and math skills
