Amentum is seeking an Engineering Service Manager to support work across various locations (location of work is flexible).

Purpose and Scope:
The Engineering Services Manager is responsible for technical/operational leadership of a project/mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer. Defines, generates, and reviews project requirements documentation. Performs technical studies to refine project requirements. Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained. Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs.

Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinates the discipline's engineering with that of other disciplines.
Maintains records, files and other documents pertaining to the discipline.
Assists the Account Manager and/or Project Manager in identifying the engineering documents that must comply with regulatory/licensing requirements.
Assigns preparers and checkers for discipline specifications and coordinates review of external specifications.
Maintains technical coordination with the PM to ensure adherence to industry codes, regulatory requirements and sound engineering practices.
Directs the preparation and submits periodic reports and forecasts on the status of the discipline.
Schedules, directs and documents discipline engineering meetings between project management, customer, vendors and other engineering groups.
Advises the Project Manager regarding status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, budgets, delays and adverse problems.
Works closely with Project Manager and Director of Consulting on employees' evaluations and promotions and the overall technical improvement of the group.
Fully versed in the work sequence, general content, and methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within engineer's discipline.
Fully versed in the process of preparing and checking of calculations as well as the approval, revision, retention and storage of calculations within a specific discipline.
Fully versed in interpreting codes and standards as it relates to a specific discipline.
Ensures quality, quantity and completeness of the assigned engineering tasks.
Familiar with business development concepts and provides support to proposals.
Able to lead the development of manpower, man-hour, and labor cost requirements for a project and can monitor the effect of these on the budget
Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline or the sciences from a four year accredited college or university. Experience: 12+ years of professional experience. Or Master's Degree with 8+ years of professional experience
5 years of managerial experience is preferred
Experience in Nuclear High Hazard Operations and Nuclear Regulatory Compliance
Professional Engineering License preferred
Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Position may require travel.
