Director, Learning & Leadership Development

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Learning and Leadership Development to lead our global efforts in developing world-class leaders who drive organizational growth and success. This is a high-impact role within our rapidly growing company, focused on enhancing people manager capability, executive development, coaching, leadership assessment, and succession planning. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in building, scaling, and aligning leadership development programs with the strategic goals of a global business.

You will collaborate closely with senior leaders to understand current and future leadership skill needs, create innovative learning experiences, and deliver transformational development initiatives across the organization. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong facilitation capabilities, and a passion for developing programs from the ground up.

 

What you’ll be spending your time on:

  • Leadership Development Program Design: Build and execute scalable leadership and learning experiences for leaders at all levels, from people managers to executives.
  • Talent Management: Create a healthy ecosystem to grow our leaders, including selection, assessment, high potential development, and succession planning
  • Executive Development & Coaching: Partner with senior leaders to provide executive coaching, leadership assessments, and 360 surveys that enhance leadership capabilities and drive business performance.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Work closely with senior leaders and HR teams to understand business priorities and translate those into tailored development solutions that inspire growth and empower leaders to succeed in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of leadership development initiatives using metrics such as participant feedback, performance outcomes, and business impact to refine and optimize programs over time.
  • Travel: Occasional global travel required to facilitate workshops and engage with key stakeholders.

 

Have you done this sort of stuff?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field preferred; professional qualifications in coaching or leadership development are a plus
  • 8+ years of global HR experience with a focus on learning and development, leadership development, and talent management
  • Program Design & Delivery: Proven ability to design and deliver leadership development programs, with experience managing and scaling complex, cross-functional projects
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders
  • Learning & Development Expertise: Deep knowledge of current best practices in learning design, adult learning principles, and leadership development methodologies
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess leadership capabilities and align development programs with organizational needs.
  • Passion for Building from Scratch: A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for designing innovative programs and building them from the ground up
  • Facilitation & Coaching Skills: Experience facilitating leadership workshops and coaching senior leaders to achieve their development goals

In accordance with New York City Law, below is the annual base salary range for this position. Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $180,000-$220,000
