Purpose of the Role                                                                   

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer / Solutions Architect to design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Java-based technologies, system architecture, and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and maintain architecture standards while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Design and creation of new applications/services
• Maintenance of existing applications/services
• Participating in DevOps cycles to support business needs
• Testing automation using PayU's automation framework
• Collaborating with international teams to deliver strategic initiatives.
• Participate in projects that enhance the platform's reliability and stability. 
• Improve the developer experience to enable the creation of more robust code. 
• Apply strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify, resolve technical issues, and make decisive decisions. 
• Uphold and enforce coding standards. 
• Promote and oversee adherence to security best practices. 

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
• 7+ years of experience in Java development, with at least 3 years in a solutions architecture role. 
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Core, with additional experience in Node.js being a plus. 
• Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems. 
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS. 
• Excellent knowledge of DynamoDB and MySQL. 
• Strong experience in CI/CD pipelines, GitLab setup, and deployment automation. 
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible or similar automation tools like Puppet. 
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and cybersecurity best practices. 
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable solutions that align with business needs. 
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a collaborative mindset. Must be proficient in troubleshooting, training, mentoring, and providing technical leadership.
