Role Overview


The Data Analyst III serves as a key contributor in advancing the function's data driven analyses and contribute to future strategies. This mid-level role involves taking ownership of complex data projects, leveraging advanced analytical techniques, and recommending and implementing process improvements to cross-functional teams. In addition to collecting, cleaning, and organizing data, the Data Analyst III designs and executes in-depth statistical analyses and executes data maintenance and process improvements. Understanding business needs and transitioning the needs into actionable work. With a robust understanding of data warehouses, tools, and best practices, the role requires independent problem-solving, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to mentor junior analysts. Significant experience in Excel, SQL, Python, R, and visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI, and the ability to present clear analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities
  • Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards
  • Manage basic aspects of the data management system with guidance from senior colleagues. This includes being responsible for developing or operating basic elements of the data management systems to deliver prescribed outcomes.
  • Advise others on how to design new processes and systems that meet professional standards.
  • Oversee data collection mechanisms and how they fit into data architecture, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships for projects and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.
  • Conduct research and select relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.
  • Use data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business.
  • Draft and maintain complex technical and/or user documentation to a high standard within Jira and Confluence.
  • Develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of a research program, with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Improve and develop procedures by giving feedback on what works and what doesn't, suggesting and implementing improvements to procedures and processes.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level of experience.
  • 3 years to 6 years of relevant experience
