Job Description:

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Production Engineering Tech reporting to the Production Manager in our Midland, Texas office. The Production Engineering Tech will be responsible for generating comprehensive technical reports, data analysis, and documentation related to production operations. This position requires a deep understanding of production processes, the ability to analyze operational data, and the skill to produce clear, actionable reports to optimize performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.

General Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to the Production team by troubleshooting issues, diagnosing problems, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Work closely with production engineers to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Work with the engineering team to monitor production data and identify process inefficiencies or bottlenecks in production systems.
  • Analyze production reports to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvements in equipment performance, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, and the field, to develop and implement new processes or upgrades.
  • Lead or contribute to projects aimed at improving product quality, increasing production efficiency, and reducing downtime.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in engineering technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in oil, gas, or energy production or related field.
  • Strong data analysis skills to interpret production reports and identify trends or anomalies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and report on technical issues.
