Territory Coordinator

Pixelogic, a subsidiary of the IMAGICA GROUP, is a global provider of content localization and distribution services for the media and entertainment industry. Pixelogic services include subtitling and closed captioning, foreign language dubbing, access services, text and metadata translation, audio services, marketing and promotional material design and versioning, digital cinema mastering and key fulfillment, home entertainment mastering, compression and authoring for physical media formats, transcoding and packaging for digital distribution products, archive mastering, and custom software and application development services.

Pixelogic was founded in 2016 as a next-gen media supply chain provider focused on premium localization and distribution services for features and series, including marketing materials such as trailers and TV spots. The company localizes content in over 60 languages and services all worldwide distribution venues and delivery formats. This includes support for digital cinema, physical media (DVD, Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray) and hundreds of digital media variants. Pixelogic employs nearly 700 full-time employees worldwide.

As part of the Territory Operations Department, this role will work as part of the language services team on subtitling and scripting projects. The Territory Coordinator will implement the project strategy and vendor and individual assignment and communication protocols and act as a point of contact for internal clients, production teams, and localization full-time staff, vendors and freelancers to ensure adherence to due dates, allocated budgets, and quality requirements.

Often, the Territory Coordinator will need to review or prep timed text and metadata files to vet quality, communicate issues to vendors, ensure compliance, or make service providers workable.

Please note this is a full-time, independent contractor position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Fully managing and planning specific projects’ subtitling process as tasked by the Territory Manager.

• Liaising with the Project Managers regarding ongoing projects as needed and acting as a point of contact between PMs, PP, and Linguists.

• Setting translation/QC timelines and reaching out to freelancers with assignments.

• Following up with linguists to confirm that expected deliveries are on-track.

• Maintaining capacity and monitoring Linguists’ trackers.

• Auditing and approving Freelancer payments by the end of each month.

• Monitoring Linguists’ translation quality and reporting any quality, consistency, or commitment issues.

• Recruiting Freelancers and Vendors as per project requirements.

• Developing KNPs or any other linguistic documentation required to keep consistency as requested by the client.

• Suggesting workflow improvements and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Demonstrated project management/coordination experience.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of tools and devices in digital media (such as EZ Titles).
  • Bachelor degree in language-related field, e.g. translation, literature, journalism, etc.
  • Good understanding and in-depth knowledge of language/country-specific cultures, known as localization.
  • Attention to detail combined with the ability to work quickly to meet deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A positive attitude when experiencing obstacles and enthusiastic to get things done.
