Overview of the Role:
Provides primary health care and performs selective medical services under the direction of clinic physicians.
Essential Job Duties:
Greet patients and gather medical information
Give physical exams to make correct diagnoses
Work with Physicians and Nurses to prescribe and administer medications
Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment
Instruct patients and their families about best practices at home
Document and update patient records
Refer patients to specialists or order laboratory tests as needed
OR experience Prefered
Knowledge of the professional medical practice and care to give and evaluate patient care
Knowledge of organizations policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care
Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
Skilled in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide on-going patient care
Skilled in taking medical history, assessing medical conditions and interpreting finds
Skilled in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence
Skilled in developing and maintaining department quality assurance
Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public
Ability to maintain quality control standards
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situation
Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
Ability to communicate clearly
Education/Certificate/License
Graduate from accredited Physician’s Assistant program
Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants
Physical Demands
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finder dexterity and eye-hand coordination; requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time; occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds; requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range; requires working under stressful conditions in emergency situations or working irregular hours; requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
The compensation for this vacancy is of $115k Annual
