We’re looking for a junior to mid-level graphic designer to join our growing team focused on delivering high-quality, engaging social media content for a government agency based in Washington, D.C. This role is perfect for a designer who’s passionate about crafting clean, eye-catching vector graphics and has a sharp eye for detail. You'll create a variety of content—from newer-style carousel posts to infographics to motion graphics—while adhering to established brand guidelines. Experience with short-form video or animation is a strong plus, but not required. You’ll collaborate closely with our creative director and wider team to ensure every piece of content is on-brand, fresh, and ready to make an impact across major social platforms. This is the place to do it.What You Bring To The Team• Above all, you have an eye for clean, effective design and a solid understanding of layout, composition, and typography principles.• You’re a design geek. You can talk about the latest trends on social for hours but can also hold your own in a heated discussion about which typeface is the GOAT. (It’s Futura btw.)• You’re a team player who's eager to learn, contribute, and roll up your sleeves. We’re a tight-knit crew, and we all pitch in to get the job done—on time and exceeding client expectations.• You’re comfortable managing and executing the client’s vision—collaborating with the creative team to understand the assignment, audience, and message, then delivering original designs that communicate clearly and creatively.• You’re detail-oriented, organized, and able to pivot when feedback rolls in. Whether it’s iterating on an idea or coming up with an alternate concept, you’re flexible and solution-focused.• You can juggle multiple projects while ensuring high-quality work and meeting deadlines.• You thrive in a fast-paced environment. Social media moves quickly, but that just means more variety and opportunities to sharpen your skills (and grow your portfolio fast).• You’re proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and familiar with Canva and Figma. Bonus points if you have experience with short-form animation or video editing tools.• Obviously has a portfolio that shows a breadth of design.
