Associate Project Manager

Client: Healthcare Software Company

Position: Associate Project Manager

Term: 6-month contract with opportunity to renew

Pay: $65K-$68K

Location: Remote - Only East and Central Time Zones

One weekend a month for software releases.


Product they will support: Support of the software solution suite delivering to health plans mission-critical workflow solutions that drive superior care and financial outcomes in a value-based, member- and patient- centric ecosystem.


Position Overview:

Reporting to the Program Manager, PMO, Delivery Management in the USA in the planning and execution of assigned projects according to deadlines and budget constraints. Helps organize project teams to execute project plans, ensuring project goals and objectives are met. Advocates on behalf of our clients in liaising with our internal software and industry experts in support of our product suite of technology. 

Experience:

  • Must have - Bachelor’s degree in science, business, technology, or related field preferred
  • Must have - 1-2 years of experience in enterprise-level project management or project coordination implementing smaller scale projects
  • Must have - Technical experience: SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel required - Visio nice to have
  • Must have - Familiarity with JIRA required nice to have knowledge of Smartsheet application
  • Must be very personable and possess strong communication (Written & Verbal), presentation, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of project management practices and techniques, including plan development, scope and change control management, work breakdown structure, budget control, risk management, change management, communication management, status reporting, vendor resource management, impact analysis, stakeholder management, and issue control/management
  • Proficient in the use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & MS Project)
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines


Responsibilities:

  • Develop task lists or project schedules in alignment with the scope and objectives defined in the Statement of Work
  • Coordinate technical resources as needed to provide support or ensure delivery of a successful solution, depending on the agreement with the client
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the project team for the engagement
  • Collaborate or escalate as required to address business or technical issues related to the project
  • Manage and maintain project information in the appropriate systems
  • Generate reports and produce internal project-related deliverables
  • Partner with Project Managers as required to provide administrative/coordination support or assist with the production of project deliverables
  • Develop project scope, goals, risks, and deliverables including project dependencies, project plans, project timelines and milestones
  • To manage, track and resolve cross-project dependencies, risks, issues/conflicts, and change requests to endure
  • Hold and/or attend regular project meetings and teleconferences associated with assigned projects
  • Update Smartsheet dashboards, Smartsheet action items, project plan and status reports
  • May participate in the strategic planning activities for the assigned area
  • Reviews current systems and processes for possible improvements and implements process changes as appropriate
  • Administers the project approach, structure, and charter through the establishment of project requirements and planning
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, plans and reports
  • High degree of professionalism, especially when faced with critical and intense situations
  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
