Software Development Engineer II - Digital Experience

Qualtrics is seeking Software Engineers with experience building and shipping elegant, performant and accessible web experiences! You will work directly with Product managers, UX designers and other engineering teams in building elegant solutions to solve hard customer problems. Owning quality from end to end is a rewarding challenge and one of the reasons the Digital Experience team is such an exciting place to work!

How You’ll Grow

As a Software Engineer at Qualtrics, you should love building simple solutions to solve hard customer use cases or engineering scalability problems, designing systems in an agile environment to withstand hyper growth and owning quality from end to end. You will work with design and product teams to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes, and transform them into exciting end-user features. 

Things You’ll Do 

  • Develop scalable, performant, accessible, and robust web-based solutions to solve complex business problems.
  • Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive maximum performance.
  • Work closely with and incorporate feedback from other engineers, tech-ops, UX designers, researchers, and product managers.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings, collaborate with your peers, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to your customers.
  • Work with colleagues across various locations and disciplines to achieve common goals.
  • Be a trusted on call engineer as part of the on call rotation of your team - typically once every two months.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • Experience using Typescript, Java (or similar programming languages)
  • Experience with Cloud technologies
  • Experience with Relational databases and non-SQL datastores
  • Experience troubleshooting on web browser dev tools
  • Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures and coding background
  • Experience with continuous delivery, git, test automation and build/deploy systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2-5 years working in a full-stack or backend-focused engineering position

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using React
  • Experience with AWS preferred
  • Experience with MySQL, DynamoDB and S3 (nice to have experience with Kafka, EBS)
  • Experience with dev tools like Spinnaker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, 
  • Experience designing data schema, and APIs
  • Strong grasp for designing scalable and cost effective solutions

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
