At Quilter, we are helping electrical engineers save time and accomplish more by automating the tedious and time-consuming task of designing printed circuit boards (PCBs). Our small team is composed of experts in electrical engineering, electromagnetic simulation, ML/AI, and high-performance computing (HPC). We are inventing and leveraging novel techniques to solve the decades-old problem of automating circuit board design where today hundreds of billions of dollars are spent. We have raised $10 million in series-A funding from some of the very best and are charging full-speed toward our goal.
No matter where we come from, we're united by a common vision for the future and a core set of values we think will get us there:
Focus on the mission
Build great things that help humans
Demonstrate grit
Never stop learning
Pursue excellence
Quilter is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team.
While Quilter is not the first company to think of automating circuit board design with software, we are determined to be the first to truly succeed in doing so. For that to happen, our technology must do more than generate complete PCB designs; it has to generate good ones.
As Quilter’s Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for helping Quilter's customers use the tool, communicating product feedback to the engineering team, and engaging with our user community of electrical engineers to help shape product requirements. This is a “product-leaning” engineering position; although you’ll have opportunities to help Quilter by designing boards yourself, your primary efforts will be focused on improving the product and cultivating relationships with those who use it.
We’re looking for someone who has solid experience designing PCBs with demanding technical requirements like advanced controls systems, high-speed signal processing, and wireless/RF design. We want someone who is deeply dedicated to the craft of electrical engineering, and passionate about empowering the next-generation of electrical engineers with powerful design tools.
Masters degree of equivalent in electrical engineering
7-10 years of experience designing circuit boards with demanding technical requirements
Support some of the best electrical engineering organizations in the world in using Quilter to do their work faster
Contribute to Quilter’s roadmap and technical product requirements
Complete design reviews and assessments of Quilter’s design output
Design and build circuit boards that highlight and validate the capabilities of our product
Meet with users and customers to build relationships and distill user requirements
Evangelize the craft of electrical engineering within Quilter and our user community
Strong passion for electrical engineering and EE craft
“Product thinking” – ie ability to identify, validate, and prioritize user/customer needs and opportunities
Previous experience in a startup environment
Please note: We are an equal opportunity employer and currently a remote-only company. At this time, we are focused on hiring primarily within the US, with occasional exception to accommodate exceptional talent.
Interesting and challenging work
Competitive salary and equity benefits
Remote work with no commute
Health, dental, and vision insurance
Regular team events and offsites (~2x / year)
Unlimited paid time off
Paid parental leave
