RSM is looking for a Supervisor to join our dynamic Nonprofit Assurance Practice, where we specialize in serving a diverse range of organizations. Our clients include nationally recognized trade and membership associations, large philanthropic foundations, social service and cultural organizations, colleges and universities, and private clubs. Responsibilities:
Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables
Develop an understanding of the client's business, and become an industry specialist to understand client specific needs
Lead the team through the entire audit process, preparing all necessary financial statements and related disclosures and reportable conditions letters, with an eye on quality, thoroughness and accuracy
Understand and utilize RSM’s Audit Methodology
Supervise Audit Associates and Seniors on engagement teams and function as an in-charge facilitating field work by monitoring and reporting regarding productivity and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignment
Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise
Interact with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient
Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Managers and Partners
Identify performance improvement opportunities
Recognize and inform management of opportunities to increase types of services to clients
Ensure professional development through ongoing education
Willingness to travel 25% of the year, depending on your clients
Required Qualifications:
BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
CPA or CA Certification
4+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment
Minimum of 4 years of experience with financial statement audits
Minimum of 2 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements
Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB or IFRS regulations
A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships
Must be well-versed in valuation of portfolio companies i.e. level 3 investments
Experience in valuation methodologies and waterfall calculations
Understanding of partner capital allocations and computations
Experience reviewing audited financial statements
Understanding of management fee calculations
A successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagement
Supervising substantive testing and analytical-review procedures as well as documentation of internal control systems
Preferred Qualifications:

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $74,900 - $141,900Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
