Partnership Tax Technology Intern

The Role

Are you a tech visionary eager to drive the next wave of tech innovation? At RSM, you’ll join an inclusive team that values your insights.  You will work alongside top tax technology mentors, deepen your expertise in tax technology, and deliver outstanding service to our clients. 
 

Some of the opportunities you will have: 

  • Assist in gathering and organizing client data.
  • Support senior staff to prepare tax deliverables for clients leveraging our proprietary technology solutions.
  • Work with third party tax software applications to facilitate the preparation of federal and state and local tax compliance deliverables.
  • Participate in the development of custom tax automation solutions to improve efficiencies.
  • Identify process improvements and suggest technology driven solutions.
  • Support senior staff to manage client relationships.

The Team
The Center of Advanced Tax Technology (CATT) is among the fastest-growing practice groups within RSM Tax, dedicated to elevating our clients' experience. Our dynamic team, comprised of professionals with diverse expertise in tax functions, technical skills, technology development, and project management, is focused on delivering comprehensive, value-added, and efficient tax services. We consult and execute on various client-centric initiatives, including process improvement, tool development, and implementation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 90 credits completed towards a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from accredited university Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS or Accounting/Finance Major 
  • Travel to assigned client locations is required. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations  
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills   
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel  
  • Ability to work effectively on a hybrid team  
  • Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment  
  • Working knowledge of analytics, data management, statistics, accounting, and computer applications

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $36 - $43 per hour
